Life with 3 Boys!

It's about time that we updated our family Blog. 2+ months later & we are adjusting to 3 boys.

Trying to get time to update blogs is a challenge.

Trying to get pictures of all 3 wiggle worms is also a challenge.

But here we go....
Our 3 little boys stories from the beginning.

Hudson David Born
 Joined our family Saturday May 26, 2012 @ 8:45AM 

Weighing in a 8 lbs 5 ounces, 20 inches long.

A week before he was born we decided to go ahead with a scheduled c-section because he had been lying sideways for 10+ weeks. This was our 1st scheduled c-section & 1st c-section that Dave & I would actually be awake & in the operating room for the event. That morning we were both pretty nervous driving to the hospital but the hardest part was the pre-op stuff. Ugh! After that everything went so quickly & smoothly & I was feeling great by the next morning.  The staff were wonderful. The nurses, physician & anesthesiologist were so nice & so friendly & made the whole experience great. 

Funny thing is that when we got on the operating table Hudson had flipped head down. After 10+ weeks of headstands, chiro appointments & tricks to try make him flip & he waits until the last minute.We decided his birthday was May 26th. 

Hudson is now a little over 2 months old & my little buddy. 

He is such a happy baby. He loves to smile & I love holding him every minute of the day. 

He is also now 12 lbs 7 ounces, 70% for height, weight & head size. 

Myles Joseph Born

He was born on May 25th, 2010 @ 12:22am.

7 lbs, 15 ounces. 20 1/2 inches long.

Myles was born all natural. When I found out I was pregnant for a second time I was determined to prove I could deliver naturally & I did. After 6+ hours of labour & 20 minutes of pushing he arrived. He was a lot of work but I was determined to do it. 

When I called my parents that night the first thing I said was "I did it".

The funny thing is Myles is also a determined little man. 

His favourite saying to his parents is "I said no". 

Myles had turned 2 a day before Hudson was born. 

Myles is a great big & little brother. 

Bryant Alexander Born 

He was born September 24th, 2008.

7 lbs 1.6 oz. 20 & 3/4 inches long. 

Arrived as an emergency c-section that was not at all out of the ordinary.

Bryant will be 4 this upcoming summer.

He loves his little brothers. 

 Here are all 3 boys with their daddy during their first few days of life.
Dave though it was important to represent the boys Canadian heritage by wearing his Toronto Maple Leaf shirt to each of their births.

Life with 3 boys has become an adventure. 

But we are loving every minute of it.

Celebrating a little Bit of our Canada Heritage with All 3 Boys!

Even though our Canadian Heritage for 3 little boys is learned via French Caillou.

And in a few Days we will celebrate our American Heritage. 

The Bunk Beds

In preparation for boy #3 our final purchase arrived today. Bunk Beds!

At first I was against the whole idea of bunk beds but out of necessity I caved.

Our 2 boys have now officially entered the world of bunk beds.  

Here are the 2 boys & our dog excitedly waiting for the BIG truck to arrive.

They do love their trucks. 

Bunk beds have sure advanced since I was a little kid.

When I was little we had plain metal bunk beds.

Today, the types of bunk beds are endless.

We decided on these beds because I love the practicality of the one bed being able to store underneath the other bed when you are not sleeping in it. It just roles right under. 

I also love the cute little stair drawers. 

Our boys are already having way too much fun. 

                   

                  

They also love their new blankets from their Aunt Mary & the Roy Grandparents.

I think we are officially ready for boy #3 to arrive.

Now all I need to do is to get this stubborn little man to flip. 

Only a few more weeks left & this baby is my sideways stubborn little boy. 

Off to the swimming pool again & again & again & again.

The New Family Addition - Chevrolet Traverse

At Nursery today Myles teacher asked all the little kids who has a mommy who loves them soooo much?

All the little children in excitement put up their hands to let her know they all had mommy's who loved them soooo much.

On the other hand Myles response was "Mommy Works!"

If you saw my last post I mentioned that my working hours have increased substantially since January.

So it's understandable that both boys responses lately to topics about mommy are "mommy works".

The good news is that I have been lucky enough to continue to get to work from home.

The other good news is that I have also been lucky enough to have my brother-in-law continue to help babysit. The boys really do love him & sometimes I wonder if either boys were attending school they would introduce their family as "My 2 Dads".

When these extra hours started to increase I decided we could work towards a Goal.

I knew that with a 3rd boy on the way we would need a bigger car. 

I knew we would need it by the end of May. 

I also knew that if I set my mind to something & set a target we would be able to use these working hours as an opportunity to start saving for a bigger vehicle. 

If you know me well, when I set financial goals I become pretty determined.

(My family still reminisces about when I was younger & we were moving my dad taught me about budgeting. He told me that I could be in charge of the food budget for our move & whatever money we did not use on food we could use for new clothes for school.  Well, I decided that we could all eat popcorn during the move because new school clothing was so very important.)

This past weekend our family met our Goal. 

Here is our new addition with lots of space for all 3 car seats.

We are so very excited for our Chevrolet Traverse and boy #3 to arrive shortly.

The boys do think this car is "awesome".

However, I did have to convince Bryant it was an SUV not a van. 

In these pictures they are also pretty tired from taking a long drive to get our car. 

We have officially entered the family vehicle world. 

Munchkin Soccer Week 2 & Weekend with The Grandparents

This past weekend we got to spend the weekend with the Canadian Grandparents.

They drove up Friday night so that they would be ready Saturday morning for Munchkin soccer.

Week 2 of Munchkin Soccer was so much more successful & also a lot more colder.

As you can tell by the many soccer pictures the Grandparents & us think we have the cutest soccer player on the field. He Here is our cute little man.

                   

Daddy was helping trying to help motivate our little man BUT I think he too was cold.

After soccer we all took a trip to Costco. For the past few months I have been waiting to enjoy a Costco hot dog & to buy some bulk size snacks. 

I still can't believe how much food little boys eat. 

At Costco Grandma taught the all about the Vending machine.

According to Grandma M&Ms are a healthy lunch addition to Costco Pizza.

After lunch the boys & Grandpa sit on the side lines while we shop.
The boys loved shopping with the Grandparents.

Myles always energetically responded to all the treats with "Look At this".

Only at Costco will you find a life-size bear & Grandma decided we needed a picture.

After Costco we had Birthday & Easter celebrations Part 2 

Only Grandma would bring bunny Easter Ears for two little boys to wear.

And of course the boys loved all of Grandma's Easter treats & accessories.

We loved every minute we had to spend with the Grandparents.

Even our little dog gets sad when they have to leave. 

I too enjoyed my parents visit. However, as usual I am sure I ate one too many of my favourite Canadian sweets & my scale is going to show the weekend affects tomorrow.

This upcoming week 35 weeks Pregnant.

Where have we been?

It has been way too long since we blogged.

WHY?   Work, work & more work!

Spending many hours working does not make one want to blog at the end of the day. 

However, when I am not working we are still spending some time as a family.

Here is what we have been up to lately. 

1. March Birthdays!

March 12th I turned 33 years old & March 29th Dave turned 34 years old. 

At Almost 30 weeks pregnant my Birthday involved mostly chocolate cake. 

We also received some yummy treats from Aunt Mary & Aunt Jenna.

2. St Patrick's Day Parade!

This year we went to downtown Cleveland to see the St. Patrick's Day Parade. 

A lot of people & it was hot so we may have only lasted a few minutes but we will return one day.

3. Easter Part 1 Celebrations!

We celebrated Easter Part 1 with a community Easter Egg Hunt & a BBQ with Dave's Family. Part 2 we just celebrated this past weekend with my parents & I will post later.

                     
                     

4. Brotherly Love & Enjoying the Warm Weather!

The boys love being outside & spend every minute outside.

One night outside Bryant decided it was funny to stick his long crazy hair under the tree blossoms & shake. He laughed & laughed & the two of them did it over & over again as the flowers fell into his hair.

As you can see both of them still have uncontrollable hair. 

5. Bryant's 1st Attempt at Soccer!

Bryant joined the Brooklyn Ohio 3 year old Munchkin Soccer Team. 

Our 1st day involved lots of soccer ball kicking & a 1/2 time cry on the soccer field. 

At one point I may have threaten to pull him from the field & put a substitute Myles into his position. We all survived & these little guys are pretty cute.

Bryant's of course is the cute little red head on the far right. 

It has been a very, very, very busy few months! 

Our boys are getting bigger. I am getting bigger!

Only 4-6 weeks left until boy #3 joins us.
