Week 6 ~ Healthy Eating & Exercise Update

It's week 6 & we are now 30 days without drinking diet Pepsi/Coke. The challenge is technically supposed to end tomorrow & I still haven't decided whether this challenge will continue. We will see what happens come November 1st???

This past Monday November 27th I started another challenge.

Its My Thanksgiving Turkey Challenge.

The Turkey Challenge will take place from October 27th to November 27th.

Challenge #1 is to keep track of everything I eat via MyFitness Pal App.
Challenge #2 is to make stay within my goal of amount of food I should eat daily.
Challenge #3 is to try a different fitness challenge each week.
Challenge #4 will take place On Thanksgiving Day with our entire family. This year we will be participating in the Columbus Ohio Turkey Trot.

I love the turkey trot b/c it makes us all get us & exercise before eating too much Turkey food.
Im extra excited about the Turkey Trot. But Let's hope for no snow storms.

This past week I also lost 1.4 lbs.
Total lbs lost is 9 lbs.

Slowly but surely we are getting there.

March Party 2014

In March we get to celebrate both Dave's birthday & My Birthday. To help us celebrate my parents came to visit. This past year Jenna came to celebrate our birthday's too.

Because we were having so much fun with hockey & Bryant I decided we should take my Dad & Bryant to our 1st Cleveland Monster's hockey game. It was so much fun. And my favourite part was the dollar hot dog & dollar pepsi night. I really hope we can go to another hockey game this year.

The Saturday we did another favourite activity of mine. We went to a Maple Syrup Farm. This is the second time we have gone to a farm with my parents. At this farm we got to eat pancakes, ride their little green train & learn a little bit about maple syrup. The conservation also had an indoor play area that the boys just loved. The boys had so much fun & this past year both my parents & Dave's parents got to go to the farm. I hope to find another farm for March 2015.

Pancakes with Grandma Roy. Yummy!

Hudson & Grandma Born checking out the conservation.

The 3 boys taking pictures for Grandma.

The boys playing in the indoor playground.

Hudson ready to go outside in the cold.

The boys loved the train ride.

We surprisingly all fit on that little green train. My dad, me, Dave's dad, Dave, Grandma Born & Hudson.

Making maple syrup. Yummy!

Taking more pictures for grandma. We always get lots of pictures when Grandma is in town.

We also took Jenna & my mom to Steak & Shake. Why not end a fun filled weekend with more hot dogs & add a few milk shakes into the mix. So much fun when Jenna & the Grandparents are in town. Who know's what kind of fun will take place March 2015.

Weekends with my parents always involve lots of activities & lots of goodies.

To end off the weekend we all got to go to Bryant's final hockey game. It was so fun because my parents, Jenna, Stephanie, Stephan & Dave's parent's all got to be there to cheer on our little guy. It is so great to have family so close & to be able to be apart of all of our boys big events. It was such a nice weekend with everyone.

Exercise & Healthy Eating Update Week 4 & 5

As usual I am a week behind again so this blog is for Weeks 4 & 5. I am sure most weeks I will be behind. We are now 22 days into our no diet pepsi/coke challenge. My new beverage substitution is Seltzer Water. Mostly b/c I miss the carbonation & ice vs the caffeine. However, both Dave & I agree that Seltzer Water with flavor still has no flavor but I still think it's a good substitution.

This past week I was able to work out 4 times which is a lot in my world when it involves taking 3 boys with me to the gym. Every time I go to the gym I hear:
"who needs the gym you are already getting your workout".

Why do I get this comment weekly is b/c to get to the entrance of the gym & to the daycare area I have to  walk up & down a few flights of stairs & I am always carrying a 4 month old in one arm & 2 year old in the other arm.

My response to everyone's daily comment:
"yes, I use my boys to work my biceps & the gym for my cardio".

As for healthy eating both Dave & I have cut back on late night snacking. We are both drinking lots of water & eating more fruits & veggies. Our boys are also eating more fruits/veggies & they think Seltzer water is a new kind of pop. So overall eating healthy is going well.

This past week's weight loss: 1.4 lbs
Total: 7.6 lbs

According to Dr Oz this past week it takes most women at least 6 months to see the results so we must keep at it.
I am sure that's me.

Christmas Break ~ 2013

Christmas Break 2013 continued…

This past Christmas was the 1st year I did not have to worry about going to work or worrying about taking time off work. We got to enjoy all of Dave's Christmas break together as a family.
To continue with the Christmas holidays we drove to Canada to spend time with my family. We spent Christmas with Jenna & Josh & Josh's brother. We also got to spend it with Big Bryant & Laura. We also got to spend Christmas with the Canadian Grandparents & My Grandpa Leo.
The boys love going to Canada. They love spending time with the Canadian Grandparents.
While in Canada we had a few parties at my Grandpa Leo's house. The 1st party was a sing song at the Senior's center. Here is a picture of the two big boys at the Christmas Sing Song.

We had lots of parties at my parents house. Here we are celebrating Christmas with "Santa". Hudson is still not too sure about Santa Claus.

Partying at Grandma & Grandpa's is a lot of fun but also a little bit tiring. Myles & Hudson look just about ready for a nap.

Another party we had in Canada was going to see Frozen. The 2 Big Boys got to see Frozen with Aunt Laura, Uncle Bryant, Aunt Jenna & Dave & I. You can't exactly tell from the pictures but the boys loved the movie.

After having fun in Canada we spent the rest of Christmas break at home. This past year we got Season passes to the Cleveland Aquarium. The boys love the Aquarium so we made a visit over Christmas break.

And then the rest of the break was hanging out. Dave even got a few extra days b/c of lots of snow. We had a really snowy winter & lots of snow days for Dave. Here are the boys & Dave playing parking lots with their cars. The boys love playing with their Daddy.

We had a great Christmas break & we are looking forward to another one this year.

Our 4 Little Avengers

In December 2014 we found out boy #4 (Greyson) would be joining our the Born Boy team.
Since our boys love Avengers we decided it was only fitting to announce that our 4th Avenger would be arriving in the Spring.
To celebrate the occasion we took at trip out to Polaris in Columbus because it's one of our favourite get aways. We went to Build a Bear & made our Greyson Thor Baby Bear. We also went out to lunch to Quaker Steak & happened to visit with Santa Claus.

Here are a few pictures from our events.

Malls in the United States really do have the best indoor play parks. Our boys love visiting the mall just to play. Polaris has one of our favourite indoor play parks.

Hudson enjoying his lunch. At this restaurant all our meals come in these little car boxes. Our boys loved them. They also have cars on the walls & gas pumps. It's definitely a restaurant you go to with a group of boys.

Hudson did not like sitting with Santa Claus. Hopefully this year he might be a little more happier to see Santa.

Taking pictures of our boys is also a bit of a challenge. Im glad one of the 3 enjoyed smiling with Santa.

After lunch we went over to Strongsville Mall to build our bear.

And at the end of the day. One more picture of the boys in their Avenger's pajamas & the Greyson Thor Bear. We got these cute pajamas also during our adventure.

And then 5 Month Later Greyson got to join the fun.

Here are pictures of all of our Avengers.

Captain America - Myles - who had just turned 4 on May 25th, 2014

Our Iron Man our little Bryant. Who turned 6th this past Sept 24th, 2014.

Hudson our little Hulk. Hudson had just turned 2 on May 26th, 2014.

And Greyson our little Thor. Joined our family on May 23th, 2014.
Greyson was only 9 days old when we took these pictures.

And then pictures of all 4 of them together. Aunt Jenna & Granda Roy were in town & helped take the pictures of all 4 of our boys. After many & many different poses we got a few nice pictures of my cute little Avengers.

Grandma Roy even snuck in on a few of the pictures.

We have the cutest little Avengers.
Thank you Aunt Jenna for taking a lot of pictures.
